    About me

    Qualifications:
    BSc Psychology
    MSc Health Psychology (with distinction)
Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
    Experience
I initially worked as a healthcare assistant supporting male service users who have complex needs on a low-secure, forensic inpatient ward. I then worked as a clinical information assistant, overseeing aspects of care delivery under the supervision of a consultant psychiatrist.
I trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist while working in a low-secure forensic inpatient ward with service users who had complex needs and were detained under the Mental Health Act.
My work involved the assessment and treatment of service users who had dual or multiple diagnoses, having been referred for CBT by Multidisciplinary Teams consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists.
The service users I worked with primarily had diagnoses of personality disorder, specifically emotionally unstable personality disorder.
I also worked with service users who suffered from mental illnesses like paranoid schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, and with individuals who had diagnoses of mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder.
In line with British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy guidelines for working online I do not currently offer online therapy for moderate to severe mental illness or substance misuse. This can be assessed at our initial appointment.
