How I can help you
I am experienced in working with a wide range of issues and traumas, but particularly self-harm, depression, anxiety disorders, and gender identity.
Whatever your problem, I'd like to help you with it. Whether it's support through a difficult time you need, or guidance and encouragement to help make changes in your life, I can offer you the listening ear and therapeutic reflection to help.
I adapt my way of working to suit each client and I'm led by you all the way, so it really is a tailor-made process where you take control. My role is to guide and support you.
What to expect
We will generally work together weekly in whatever form you have chosen. Sessions can have structure to them if that's what you need or we can just let the hour flow and see what happens. I am guided by you, but may make suggestions along the way.
As your Counsellor I work for you, so the session hour is focused on helping and support you as best we can.
I have been a Counsellor for 10 years and I love my job! I have a genuine passion and commitment for helping people and supporting them through their journey. You can be assured you will receive an excellent quality of care from me. I have excellent feedback and satisfaction rates, which makes me smile.
I have worked in a school, a young person's service, and an FE college, with people aged 6-60+, and I am now working for myself in my own private practice 'Lighthouse Counselling'. I am fully qualified, fully insured, and BACP registered.
I hope you find all the initial information you need here, if not please feel free to message me as it is hugely important that you find a Counsellor you feel comfortable with and can relate to.
Please feel free to check out my website www.lighthouse-counselling.org to find out more about me and my way of working.
Wishing you the best on your journey, I hope to hear from you.
