    How I can help you

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.

Having started out as a Childline counsellor, I now divide my time between working with adults at a Healthy Relationships Centre and counselling students in schools.

My approach is Client Centred, offering a non-judgemental and safe space for you to talk about whatever you are finding difficult to cope with right now. Our sessions will focus on the thoughts and feelings that have prompted you to seek help through counselling, exploring options together to enable you to understand and take control.

I firmly believe that changing unhelpful thinking and behaviours can change emotions and mood, promoting a healthier and more fulfilling life. I have worked with many issues on a long term or short term basis, specialising in anxiety, however also working extensively with low mood, bullying (in the work place and schools), loss, relationship issues, depression, abuse, addiction and LGBT.

I believe that achieving a trusting and respectful rapport within a counselling relationship can help you to take that experience out of the counselling room and in to your every day life.

    What to expect

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working face to face and online.  I offer an initial telephone assessment which gives you the opportunity to talk about what has bought you to counselling and what you want from our sessions.

The sessions are 50 minutes of either online counselling or face to face in my counselling room in Rickmansworth High Street.

I will offer you a safe and non judgemental space to talk about what ever you want and always at your pace.

We will explore your goals and expectations in a non-directive way with you always at the centre of the choices you want to make in order to make the changes you want for yourself. We will regularly review your progress so the process is going in the direction you want it to.

I will offer you an honest and authentic approach drawing on my training in Person Centred Counselling as well as  other techniques including CBT, coping strategies and mindfulness.
