How I can help you
You may be looking for a counsellor for a specific issue or maybe because you feel a sense that something isn’t feeling quite right. I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space where we can meet to explore your thoughts, feelings and memories that could be preventing you from feeling grounded or fully alive.
What to expect
The pace of counselling will be set by you and at your own speed. My responsibility as a counsellor is to be fully present with you, to support you through the therapeutic process so you’re able to build on the trust to nurture yourself along the journey. Whilst I’ll facilitate the work, it will be gentle but challenging so you’re able to use your own experiences, those that are unique to you, and you will be able to experience the dynamics of a challenging but gentle approach by me
Our relationship is crucial to the counselling process and when you may be feeling vulnerable or distressed, we’ll work towards creating a space for openness and trust.
As a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), I offer short and long term counselling for adults, couples and families.
Whilst I trained as a Person Centred counsellor and psychotherapist, having been through various training processes over the years, my style now tends to lean towards an integrative or a pluralist style of counselling.
Whatever it may be, I fully accept your sexual and gender identity and do not hold the belief that as a unique individual, the fundamental parts of you need to be changed or treated.
I meet regularly with a clinical supervisor to review my work and I am fully insured.
