How I can help you
I am a UKCP registered Core Process Psychotherapist. I am available to work in person from my practice in Bruton, Somerset as well as online.
I work in a variety of ways, ultimately meeting you-the client- wherever you are in your journey and together finding the best possible way to support you.
I work with a wide range of issues, including:
I offer a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore your issues, how you relate to others, and how you relate to your past and present experience.
There are many circumstances in which people seek the support of therapy: you may be suffering from anxiety or depression; you may be dealing with loss or change in your relationships; you may be facing challenges in your work or home life; or you may be trying to manage the effects of abuse, addiction, bereavement or depression.
You may simply be feeling that something is missing from your life, without understanding why.
Ultimately psychotherapy works with you, the client, at your own pace and offers a space to feel supported with whatever issues you bring, in a compassionate and non-judgemental space.
What to expect
The first step is to send me a message, I aim to respond to you within an hour or so.
Then we would arrange a free initial trial session to chat about what brings you to therapy. I will tell you more about how I work and you will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.
I work both short-term - where the therapy is more focused on a particular issue and can help as a support to help you through a crisis - and long term where psychotherapy works at depth and can help to find the root causes of particular issues and behavioural patterns and look at ways to change these with ongoing support.
Initially we would agree to working together for 6 x weekly sessions of 50 minutes each. Wherever possible these sessions are at the same time/day each week.
I can also offer one-off support during times of crisis.
I offer a human, friendly non-judgemental space to hold and work with your own unique process.
Confidentiality and respectful relationship are key in supporting, facilitating and accompanying you in your own unique process of enquiry.
I am a UKCP accredited Core Process Psychotherapist with an MA from the Karuna Institute/ middlesex University. Core Process psychotherapy is a mindfulness-based psychotherapy recognised by the UKCP.
I have worked with a diverse range of clients and enjoy supporting individuals to discover their full potential and growth through self-understanding and acceptance.
Other work I have been involved with includes humanitarian aid, facilitating inner-work in organisations and groups and teaching mindfulness to adults and young people.
I am committed to my own ongoing journey of personal and spiritual enquiry: development and practices that sustain and resource me on this journey include meditation, everyday mindfulness, and embodied movement/dance.
