How I can help you
I work with couples and individuals who want to heal past hurts and reflect on their situation to gain clarity on what is going on for them. We can find ways for you to regenerate or develop healthy coping strategies. We will draw on your strengths, if you would like to rebuild some aspects of your life or relationship.
What to expect
Together we will explore what is troubling you and why. I offer you a safe therapeutic space.
I am a fully qualified, BACP Registered Counsellor and Couples Therapist offering professional and ethical counselling to individuals, parents and couples.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your relationship, I believe it is worth talking about it. You may have come to a point where you want to change how you feel, the way you are together in your relationship, or to better manage how to live with what cannot be changed in your life. I offer the opportunity to get to the roots of what is troubling you and find a way forward.
I hope that this profile or my website can help you to feel if I may be the right therapist for you. I fully understand how difficult it may be to take the first step towards getting help or talking to your partner about couples therapy. When you feel ready to make the first step and contact me, I would be pleased to hear from you.
You can contact me in a way that feels most comfortable to you: whether it is dropping me an email or having a chat over the phone to see if counselling is what you need at this time.
My therapeutic interests and counselling experience of supporting clients include:
- crippling anxiety and panic attacks; I also regularly offer workshops on overcoming anxiety,
- relationship difficulties; whether it is starting a relationship, maintaing it or letting go,
- problems with intimacy or sex,
- life-sapping depression,
- healing after divorce,
- bereavement and loss,
- addictions and self-harming behaviours,
- pregnancy, birth and postnatal counselling.
I trained in Integrative Counselling at the Iron Mill College in Exeter, and also completed Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples. This means that my work as a therapist is informed by humanistic, psychodynamic and attachment theories. I also attended a specialist training in providing online counselling organised by BACP to make sure that as a therapist I am prepared to work with clients in this way.
Currently I offer morning sessions (7-10am) and some evening slots through the Plus Guidance platform. Please contact me if you feel you may benefit from counselling with me, or if you would like to enquire about appointments at different times.
With warm wishes, Kamila
