How I can help you
I'm a qualified counsellor with experience working with lots of different people. I work flexibly according to your needs and your goals. I'm all about empowering you and helping you to find the solutions to your problems.
What to expect
In the first session, I'll ask you about your aims and expectations. I can work very flexibly with people, so whether you want just one session to help you make a decision, or more sessions to work on something complex or deep I can do that. Some people like to do all of the talking, and others prefer more structure and direction and we can agree on the best way of helpling you with your problems or aims. I'm a firm believer that you need to feel comfortable with the therapist you choose, so it's always good to have a chat first and see if you would like to work with me.
I trained as a counsellor at the University of Derby and have worked for several organisations providing therapy, including the NHS, a gambling charity, a sexual violence charity and a few counselling centres. I have a lot of experience of working online and on the telephone as well as face to face. I was a charity manager before I did my counselling training. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I live in Birmingham.
