How I can help you
Hello and a warm welcome to online counselling
People of all ages come to counselling with a wide range of issues which may be related to recent or past experiences. I work in a warm, supportive way enabling you to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions in a confidential and safe space. This exploration can lead to greater self-awareness helping you to understand what is going on for you, allowing you to feel more in control to make those positive changes in your life and to see things more clearly.
What to expect
You many find that just a few sessions of counselling can help you to move on in your life or you may want to explore your issues at a slower pace – this is your therapy and we will work together to meet your needs. It is also your choice what you choose to share in therapy and how many sessions you feel you need.
We would usually meet weekly on an agreed day and time for our 50 minute session where you choose your preferred medium (email, instant messaging, video or voice) or we can work in a blended way where you can try different mediums that may allow you to express yourself in a different ways.
You may have a specific issue in mind that you would like to work on or you may feel like you just need to talk and you are not quite sure how to start and I understand how difficult it can be sometimes to open up.
If you would like to see if counselling with me feels right for you then what I usually suggest is that we have an initial session where we can meet each other (by email, instant message, video or voice) and at the end of that session you can decide what you would like to do going forwards.
Please note - to access online counselling you have to be 18 years and over and resident in the UK.
