Thank you for making the first step and looking at my profile - for some, just making an enquiry can be the most difficult aspect of seeking support.
I'm a qualified CBT Therapist providing guidance and support for those times of need. I am a non judgemental individual, who welcomes any enquiries to determine if I am able to help guide you through your difficult time.
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, which means looking at how our feelings are perhaps influenced by our perception of events or behaviour. This does entail me using a questioning approach to help us to understand how the difficulty may have developed but to understand how we may move forward too.
That said, sometimes we just need some time to focus on ourselves or just a listening ear, so please do not hesitate to get in touch.
N.B.: I'm a getting a lot of enquiries from young people who are still at school. With this in mind, I can understand that it may be difficult for you to pay for sessions through PlusGuidance. If this is the case, I still welcome contact from you, but I also recommend contacting ChildLine, who offer a free confidential service for young people to discuss any problems they might be experiencing. A common misconception is that it is for young people who have been abused, but this is not the case. They will speak about any problem bothering you, as long as you are a young person :)
