How I can help you
At OverSouls Therapy we offer professional counselling and psychotherapy to couples and individuals whilst providing a safe, confidential space to talk and explore with a fully qualified and understanding counsellor/psychotherapist.
We can help you gain insight into past and present issues and also help you develop resources to cope in the future.
What to expect
Usually people decide to see a counsellor or therapist when they are experiencing difficulties and distress in their lives. It is often easier to talk to someone who is non-judgemental and independent of family or friends.
The first session is a discussion of the issues you are bringing to counselling. Confidentiality will be discussed and explained in more detail and we will also talk about our contract with each other to arrange dates and times of sessions. There will also be a discussion on the number of sessions and we will agree that between us, at this point you can decide to continue or not.
Usually it takes a few sessions before therapy starts to make a difference and you should not expect instant results. You might find that you go through a period of feeling worse than you did at the beginning but this is not unusual and if you find that this is the case, talk to your therapist so that you can work through this in order to feel better in the long term.
