How I can help you
I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing emotional difficulty or crisis and in need of support. My style of working is adapted to the specific needs of my clients. I always seek to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment.
What to expect
Either as a couple or individual, together we would explore your experiences and feelings, concentrating on what you consider most important. As the therapy I offer integrates a cohesive blend of several therapies, it is designed to have a flexible approach which enables me to closely follow your unique way of experiencing the world and adapt to the different types of issues you may bring to counselling.
Working closely along side you, my aim would be to help you make sense of your issues and/or to explore ways of approaching them in a potentially different way and find resolution. The therapy can be conducted on either a short or long term basis. This would be agreed between us and monitored throughout to ensure you receive the best standard of care which I endeavour to provide.
I am a BACP accredited and BUPA recognised counsellor & psychotherapist. I have been praciticing within the counselling environment for 9 years. This includes such organisations as Barnardos, Cardiff University, Coleg Gwent and University of South Wales. I have an extensive private practice where I provide counselling to adults and young people. I also provide consultative supervision to other counsellors and organisations. In my other professional capacity I work as a service manager for a large school based counselling service within the South Wales region. I have also undertaken various work as a visiting lecturer in counselling at the University of South Wales.
