    How I can help you

I would like to help you with whatever you want to bring into the Therapy session.

    What to expect

You can expect an open and friendly person that will not judge you or your issues. Mistakes are made and sometimes we find it difficult to understand them. I offer a listening care empathy and my whole self into the therapeutic relationship, I do not offer advice or tell you what to do, but help you to come to a solution if you need me to.

    About me

Hi my name is Susan and welcome to my profile.

I hold a postgraduate B.A in Counselling Studies from Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education.

I also hold a level three certificate in Counselling skills and I have continued to develop professionally by obtaining certifications in Counselling & Psychotherapy, Advanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Child Counselling, Child Psychology, and Working With Three Levels of Trauma. I work within the framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am bound by the ethical guidelines for good practice which requires regular supervision of my work.

As well as my private practice I work as a Forensic Support Worker in a Mental Health environment which entails clients with varying degrees of issues. Some clients have been convicted and are moving into society once again.

I am passionate about Counselling and I work in a caring, empathic and non-judgemental way, covering the core conditions of Carl Rogers. I can assure you the client the assurance that I will give you my utmost attention as you work through your difficulties.
