How I can help you
Do you need a space to just focus on yourself where you can share your worries and explore what is going on?
It can be hard sometimes to do that with friends and family as you may not want to worry them or are trying to support other people.
If you are feeling anxious and worried, having self-esteem or anger issues or generally feel dissatisfied with where you are at the moment and want to explore it I can help.
What to expect
I am an empathic listener which is at the core of the person centred approach. What this means is that I work to understand what the problem or situation is really like for you without judgement. I believe that each of us has the inner resources to grow and heal but at times we need a safe and nurturing environment which therapy provides.
The feedback I receive from my clients is that really being heard is the most helpful part of therapy; being heard and not feeling judged. Experiencing this in a genuine way really does give you the opportunity to find within yourself your own answers. My role is to facilitate this so you have the space for this process to happen.
The most important thing for any therapy is if the people involved feel they can connect. That is why I offer a free 30 minute introductory session so that we can begin to see if we fit. Please click on the message me button and we can arrange this from there.
As well as working in private practice on PlusGuidance I offer face-to-face counselling near London Bridge on a Friday. Please message me for details of this or check out my website siobhan-toner.co.uk.
If the date and time you would prefer is not marked on my calendar please get in touch as I can sometimes offer alternative slots.
I also have several years’ experience as a school counsellor in a number of settings with 11-18 year old clients. However, please note that I can only work with clients who are 18 and older on this platform.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in Retail and IT and understand the impact working in high pressure environments can impact on our confidence, self-esteem and stress levels.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which is a UK professional body and I work according to their ethical framework. If you would like more information about this please click the link.
