How I can help you
Talking things through is often very helpful. Sharing your experiences and learning that you're not alone can make a big difference. My aim is to provide a caring, confidential, and nurturing space for you to express what is going on for you. Through working with me I hope you'll find that you're able to be more accepting of yourself, wholly and wonderfully human. Counselling is teamwork, working together you and I can learn and grow.
What to expect
Expect confidentiality, respect, and non-judgmental work. I'll keep our work confidential. I'll respect your time, and your investment in counselling. I'll respect that it's often not easy to take the plunge in to counselling. I'll respect you as a fellow human being. I won't judge you or what we talk about.
Don't expect advice: you know how to be yourself, the responsibility and the journey is unique to you.
I entered in to counselling later in life after a career change. I've done a variety of jobs from attempting to train as a teacher, to working on oil rigs. I used to work as a manager in a large company, I was made redundant and took that opportunity to re-train and find work that I love. I enjoy working with my clients, I view it as a privilege to work with people and to learn more about their hopes and fears. I'm excited by counselling, enjoy meeting with clients for the first time, and feel a sense of fulfillment in the work I do.
