    How I can help you

“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are” – Anais Nin

I provide a safe, confidential, collaborative and non-judgmental space to work through any issues that are effecting your life such as anxiety, stress, depression, OCD, relationship issues and many more through person to person appointments at offices on Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3ND, Video Communication, Internet Messenger, Voice Calls and Email.

    What to expect

We would initially undertake an assessment of presenting problems and how these are impacting on your day to day life.  We would then mutually agree a number of sessions needed to work towards addressing these issues, review your expectations of therapy and set goals to be achieved within the number of sessions agreed.

Briefly, the aim of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is to teach patients that while they cannot control every aspect of the world around them, they can take control of how they interpret and deal with things in their environment.  We will work together collaboratively to develop a better understanding how your thoughts and feelings are influencing your behaviour.  During the course of therapy, you will identify and change unhelpful, destructive or disturbing thoughts patterns that have a negative influence on behaviour and emotions. However, as I have an integrative approach to therapy I will draw up other models of therapy to tailor the sessions to your individual needs and goals

    About me

I am qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with an integrative approach to therapy, with experience working with people who are experiencing emotional and practical challenges in their lives.  It is my belief that CBT is very effective in helping people to make positive changes in their lives. My own life experiences and personal journey has helped me to develop the insight and awareness which I believe are crucial in an effective therapist.

I am a member the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and as such I am regulated by their Code of Ethics and practices. I am presently working towards full accreditation with BABCP.  I continue to undertake CPD (Continual Professional Development) and undertake regular clinical and peer supervision.
